How People Are Using AI For Browser Productivity

In 2025, people use the browser as an AI workspace—Perplexity Comet runs search and takes actions in-page, while ChatGPT Agent and Edge Copilot Mode operate across open tabs. Users have agents scan 1,500+ support emails and forums to profile customers, plan trades and analyze charts live, close and open 300+ tabs by voice, “vibe code” repos from the sidecar, and generate dashboards or videos directly in-page; many switch default search to Perplexity to keep navigation, querying, and actions in one surface.

Just the tip of the iceberg here with @PerplexityComet. I have it analyzing charts, calculating permutations, and plan trade setups live as stocks move. a game changer for new traders and a tool to enhance skilled traders. Will be trying out the browser for more trading use cases so if you have any ideas let me know!

I would never have thought a new browser would replace Google Chrome for me until... Comet by @perplexity_ai came around. It uses less of my computer's memory, seamlessly transfers my Google Chrome data over, and possesses agent-like capabilities.

ChatGPT Agent is WILD i asked it to identify our core customer (and our biggest missing features) for @CoraComputer it scanned through > 1,500 support emails, and hundreds of support forum posts to pull together a full report on who loves us, who hates us, and why. it even looked people up on linkedin to try to help me understand my customer archetypes

Been using Perplexity's Comet browser for the past few days and can't imagine going back to Chrome or the likes. Made my daily AI search usage 10x and rarely did any Google search the past week. The ability to have an AI assistant at fingertip is more useful than I had imagined.

You can just ask Perplexity Comet to generate a video for you using Veo 3 inside Gemini 🙂 You can either give a detailed prompt with steps or just keep it simple like this, both work: Comet Prompt: You have access to the Gemini interface, use it to generate a video and wait for rendering to complete. Prompt: <Your prompt goes here> It figures out the rest. Where to paste the prompt, whether to click the video option, everything. Pretty smart.

An under appreciated aspect of Comet. We put a lot of effort into making sure navigational intent on the omnibox is captured. So, Perplexity can remain your default search and you won’t miss the ad-filled ten-blue link Google experience. https://t.co/jkWaVXT3Te

Vibe coding with @PerplexityComet - asked the browser agent to build me a simple (locally run) yt-dlp wrapper. It navigated to github, created the repo, wrote/committed/pushed the code. You can even make changes to your code from the sidecar, feels like an AI IDE lmao 😂 https://t.co/tQ8QxnhGKJ

One quick check...
